Life Update

My Toshiba feels sad because I have only turned him on like once for the last few weeks – a friend from school was installing Photoshop. That is why I have a new theme! I accidentally deleted the header image from my last one and couldn’t find it, so might as well change the look. It is so nice to be able to resize images and work with colors etc etc etc. This time I DID NOT forget my math plugin.

My weekdays have now become class, hanging out with Mei to pass the time in between, then being on my netbook the rest of the time at home to do my homeworks and papers and everything else. Because my weekends have been taken up by my new “workplace” I haven’t really had any free time to go online. But I’m not complaining. I’m having a lot of fun, earning a tiny bit of money, and have better time management with getting my work done.

Classes have ended for me last week, and I have a few exams, one on Tuesday but I am too tired right now to study for it so a little blogging won’t hurt me. I do get 7 hours of sleep at least but I don’t know why I’m still so tired. I kinda am hyper right now which is why I’m still up at 1. I’ve become a morning person after this year of waking up at 5:30.

I absolutely love it at work. The people are far nicer than the last store I worked at. One of my friends actually asked if I spend it flirting with Mingyun, and I was like WTH. We do separate things come on, and I usually talk to the other girls there. Only time I get to hang out with him is after work. I can’t believe I’m actually working in the store I spent many afternoons in last year drooling over all the lovely things. It’s been hard to resist emptying my wallet for them.

I get minimum wage from work now because they actually wanna keep me in case some English-speaking person comes in. Seriously they all speak English but are just so lazy they’d rather pay me to do it. Oh well I’m not complaining, in addition to that they pay for my train and bus fares to get there since it’s pretty far – about 2 hours by train, 1 hour by bus. Don’t ask how the transportation system here works. My mom rather I take the train because she doesn’t want to drive me to the bus station 5 minutes away.

On Saturdays I don’t come home, I stay with Mingyun instead. I was so shocked that my mom was okay with it. Her logic is since I’m in college now and if I went to school in another state I’d be totally independent and she won’t even know what goes on. So even though I still live at home, she doesn’t care what I do anymore. I’m not even sure if that’s good or bad.

Either way, yesterday Mingyun treated me to Korean BBQ. I am really horrible when it comes to food most of the time. But I haven’t had Korean BBQ in a long time and that really opened up my appetite. I kinda still crave it now, hahahahha. Oh, and apparently the waitress thought I was a foreigner because she tried teaching me how to  eat the meat with lettuce. Um, thanks?
